Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join our client, a leading contractor operating in Ireland’s expanding markets. They specialize in various sectors, including residential, commercial, mixed-use, and regulated environments such as healthcare and pharmaceuticals.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Degree qualified and at least 4 years of experience in quantity surveying in the UK or Ireland (ideally Residential, Retail/Commercial, Public works).
  • IT Skills – MS Office packages and database experience.
  • Ability to work well within a team and to collaborate with others.
  • Must be eligible to work in Ireland.
  • Full Driving license required.

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AS QUANTITY SURVEYOR

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor & Commercial Manager and responsible for commercial aspects of projects across various sectors and sites; commercial, residential, hospitality, education, and industrial.

  • Consistently examine and update risk registers, variation tracker sheets, and extension of time tracker sheets, and include them in monthly reports.
  • Project cost reports are prepared and reviewed.
  • Attend Monthly Management meetings.
  • Liaising with Sub-Contractors
  • Evaluation of subcontractor records and template revisions, such as appointment records and payment certifications.
  • Examination of accounts and requisitions from suppliers.
  • Budgets and expenses for changes to the project scope should be measured, priced, negotiated, and agreed upon.
  • Verify the accuracy of the project expenses and, if required, raise and address any concerns.
  • Relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors are managed in terms of their commercial and contractual aspects.
  • Keep the management team aware of project performance, execute the cost and value reconciliation to date/forecast.
  • Help in the mentoring and advancement of junior surveyors.
  • Look for opportunity to increase income, save costs, and pinpoint and examine losses.

PACKAGE OFFERED FOR THIS QUANTITY SURVEYOR ROLE:

  • €65k - €80k base salary DOE
  • 23 days Annual Leave, + Birthday off each year.
