Responsibilities:
POSITION PURPOSE (WHY DOES THIS POSITION EXIST)
The QVMAG Support Officer is a broadly defined casual role which supports the various activities of
QVMAG as required during periods of heightened service delivery.
The position/s support service delivery across a number of service deliverables including public
programs, education, exhibitions, functions and events, planetarium, strategic collections, and front of
house.

Collections Assist QVMAG staff in identified Collections activities: Supporting QVMAG in the
Assist with project work including the successful delivery
documentation and housing of objects,
movement of objects and stocktaking
Assist with relocation or movement of QVMAG
assets and objects
Administration support (data entry and
collation, general office duties)
Business Support Assist QVMAG staff in identified administration and Supporting QVMAG in the
Front of House duties such as successful delivery
Greets and acknowledge visitors as they enter
and move through the QVMAG sites
maintaining a professional appearance and
demeanour (including adhering to uniform
policy)
Daily cleaning and general maintenance of
museum spaces, and other cleaning as
required
Assist with relocation or movement of QVMAG
assets from site to site
Administration support (data entry and
collation, answering enquiries, general office
duties)
Assist with programs and events
Work Safely with a Perform all work in a safe manner in accordance with
