R&D Associate Scientist - Sensory Science

This is a regional role based in a laboratory specializing in innovation, characterization, and process development for Roquette’s plant-based ingredients using various traditional and advanced techniques. More specifically, this role will support the day-to-day activities of the Sensory Science group. The role requires extensive laboratory work, assisting R&D scientists as directed.

• Assist in the preparation and clean up required to conduct sensory panels.
• Dispense materials as needed per direction of scientists.
• Wash laboratory glassware as needed.
• Participate in EHS, safety, and technical staff meetings.
• Participate in general lab management such as ordering supplies, managing inventory, and writing/reviewing EHS SOPs.
• Support facility and infrastructure maintenance activities for the laboratory.
• Commit and act, under all circumstances, in accordance to the values and principles of Roquette code conduct/Ethics, as well as Quality and Safety policies.

REQUIREMENTS

• Legally eligible to work in USA.
• High school diploma
• Familiar with working in a laboratory setting
• Willingness and ability to taste various food and beverage products, including the Big 8 allergens
• Adaptable, independent, and solutions driven with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Hands on person and able to multi-task.
• Good spoken and written English.
