This is a regional role based in a laboratory specializing in innovation, characterization, and process development for Roquette’s plant-based ingredients using various traditional and advanced techniques. More specifically, this role will support the day-to-day activities of the Sensory Science group. The role requires extensive laboratory work, assisting R&D scientists as directed.
- Assist in the preparation and clean up required to conduct sensory panels.
- Dispense materials as needed per direction of scientists.
- Wash laboratory glassware as needed.
- Participate in EHS, safety, and technical staff meetings.
- Participate in general lab management such as ordering supplies, managing inventory, and writing/reviewing EHS SOPs.
- Support facility and infrastructure maintenance activities for the laboratory.
- Commit and act, under all circumstances, in accordance to the values and principles of Roquette code conduct/Ethics, as well as Quality and Safety policies.
REQUIREMENTS
- Legally eligible to work in USA.
- High school diploma
- Familiar with working in a laboratory setting
- Willingness and ability to taste various food and beverage products, including the Big 8 allergens
- Adaptable, independent, and solutions driven with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Hands on person and able to multi-task.
- Good spoken and written English.
