Halliburton Production Solutions is actively seeking a dynamic Electrical/Electronic Engineer to join our Technology Team in Houston, TX. This role requires on-site work and presents an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong technical background in the oil & gas industry.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

  • Skills acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline and must have 2-5 years of work-related experience. Completion of a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline is preferred.
    Candidates having qualification that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher-level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs. Depending on education, experience and skill level, a variety of job opportunities might be available from the Electrical Engineer up to the Senior Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Prior experience in the oil & gas sector is preferred, with knowledge and expertise in coiled tubing equipment and hydraulic workover systems highly desirable.
  • In-depth understanding and hands-on experience with microprocessor and controller-based systems, including system architecture, components, and interfaces.
  • Ability to design and implement solutions using fundamental embedded programming concepts. Proficiency in firmware programming with C language and basic assembly language skills. Experience with embedded debugging IDE, such as TI Code Composer Studio.
  • Hands-on experience in the design of high-temperature electronic systems, encompassing component selection, qualification, and PCB assembly practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, P&IDs, flow charts, and cause-and-effect diagrams.
  • Capable of drafting comprehensive engineering documents, including design specifications, test plans, test procedures, and user manuals. Familiarity with engineering tools and methodologies such as Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Design of Experiments (DoE), etc.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, P&IDs, flow charts, and cause-and-effect diagrams.
  • Prepare and deliver project status reports regularly to various stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to mentor junior engineers as needed.
  • Contribute to Halliburton’s Intellectual Property portfolio by delivering innovative and commercially successful solutions.
