The AGRANA Research & Innovation Center (ARIC) is the R&D company of AGRANA and acts as an interdisciplinary research institute in the area of sugar, starch and fruit located in Tulln, Austria. Our goal is to provide innovation, scientific research, technologies and application expertises across food, beverage, cosmetics and other industrial markets supporting AGRANA and our customers in their future strategy.
Our “Proteins4Food” team in Tulln is looking for a new team member:
R&D Project Manager (m/w/d)

What will be your tasks?

  • Support of R&D projects in the field of food starches with a focus on plant proteins including project planning, project management in coordination with the project team and stakeholders
  • Evaluation of starch raw materials for holistic utilization (including valorization of possible side streams)
  • Planning, execution, and implementation of enzymatic, physical and chemical processes in lab and pilot scale as well as biochemical analyses and support of the plants in the field of protein process engineering
  • Evaluation and documentation of the results, preparation of protocols and reports as well as presentation of results to internal and external stakeholders
  • Optimization of production and customer technical support for the AGRANA Group
  • Accompanying large-scale trials in the plants

    This is what will be expected from you:

  • Completed university degree in protein/biochemistry, bioprocess engineering, food technology, or biotechnology.

  • Initial professional experience is desirable.
  • Knowledge of project management.
  • Ability to work in a team, with flexibility and an independent, precise working style.
  • Open and communicative personality.
  • Very good knowledge of English and good knowledge of German.
  • Willingness to travel and a valid driver’s license.

  • Salary in line with the market: The minimum salary for this position is EUR 3,200 gross per month. Depending on your specific experience, there is a willingness to pay in line with the market. We will be happy to discuss the final salary in a personal interview.
