Description:
PEPSICO R&D IS LOOKING FOR SENSORY & CONSUMER EXPERIENCE ASSOC SCIENTIST TO JOIN IN LEICESTER.
The main purpose of the role is to develop and execute research strategies to guide informed product design decisions for Foods Productivity & Technical Brand Stewardship projects through local sensory and consumer research capabilities, product insights and deep technical expertise across Foods R&D organization.

Responsibilities:
- Work with key cross functional stakeholders to implement & execute harmonized Sensory & Consumer Experience (EXP) Productivity research plans. Taking into account smart research principles/risk & rigour - Decide
- Leverage existing global EXP processes and protocols and implement locally to drive time and cost efficiencies within the teams supported – Consult/Execute
- Work closely with line manager to implement and promote EXP vision and mission - Influence
- Provide actionable insights and interpretation based on research with consumers for R&D Productivity & TBS projects. Implications of research will need to be communicated to senior managers and up to LG2 executives. – Consult/Execute
- Work with EXP peers and external agency partners to ensure that required external resources are available and allocated and appropriate test designs are set and deployed to best practice requirements - Execute
Qualifications:
- Degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g. Psychology, Food Science, Sensory science) with a strong theoretical background in test design, research methodologies & statistical analysis techniques
- 1-3 years previous experience in a consumer research/insights role preferably in an FMCG environment
- Knowledge of product testing methodologies with strong background in Quantitative research methods
- Good analytical skills – ability to interpret complex data and distil into useful and actionable information.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis methods - Working knowledge of sensory and statistical analysis programs (e.g., XLStat, EQ from Logic 8).
- Strong IT skills, able to learn new systems quickly and to apply them in a fast-moving business environment
