ABOUT THE SNT…

SnT is a leading international research and innovation centre in secure, reliable and trustworthy ICT systems and services. We play an instrumental role in Luxembourg by fueling innovation through research partnerships with industry, boosting R&D investments leading to economic growth, and attracting highly qualified talent.
We’re looking for people driven by excellence, excited about innovation, and looking to make a difference. If this sounds like you, you’ve come to the right place!

YOUR PROFILE…

We are looking for a talented and motivated researcher who has:

  • Master in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Programming Language or related disciplines
  • Documented research expertise in the area of Software Engineering
  • Strong programming and analytical skills
  • Sound publication track in relevant international conference, workshops, and journals
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English are mandatory
  • Commitment, affinity for working in a group, and a critical mind
  • Industrial experience in software testing will be considered an advantage

Responsibilities:

The project involves analyzing the co-evolution of code elements and tests, leveraging these co-evolutionary relationships as a bridge between past and present fault identification activities to construct a unified fault identification framework. The candidate of this project will actively contribute to implementing and integrating this unified framework for fault identification within a continuously evolving system.

Beside conducting high-quality research, the candidate will:

  • Carry out the research specified by the UNITE project (such as creating a new benchmark of co-evolution of test and code, developing the framework, conducting the service simulation and user study)
  • Contribute to project deliverables, milestones, demonstrations, and meetings
  • Disseminate results through scientific publications, especially in software debugging and maintenance
  • Expected to contribute to different projects at SnT, coordinating technical contributions or preparing project deliverables
  • Provide assistance for PhD students

The candidate should demonstrate interest in the following publication outlets:

  • High-ranked journals such as the Transactions on Software Engineering and Empirical Software Engineering
  • High-ranked SE conferences such as ICSE and ESEC/FSE
