What you will do

You will be responsible for:

  • Provide guidance and support to a team of both junior and experienced engineers responsible for the inspection tools and processes within a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ensure team spirit and personal development of the team by coaching & training on skills and competencies.
  • Supported by the team and coordinator, you are responsible for the day-to-day performance and coverage of the defectivity engineering area as well as meeting the agreed KPIs and launching initiatives to improve our efficiency.
  • Together with the team, you lead, implement and systematically follow-up on longer term projects, such as customer projects, funded projects, tool installs, and internal improvement projects.
  • You stay abreast of new scientific developments within your area, you develop roadmaps and you collaborate with your peers to prepare the team for future challenges.

Who you are

  • You have a PhD in Applied Sciences, Chemistry, Physics, Material Engineering or Electrical engineering or equivalent through experience, with at least 5-year work experience in the semiconductor industry and preferably more than 3 years in a people management role.
  • You have a strong technical background in (or with a link to) inspection and defectivity
  • You have a good understanding of the key challenges in semiconductor technology
  • You have experience working with internal and external customers including leading edge semiconductor equipment and manufacturers.
  • You are a team player and flexible in accommodating changing priorities to support business needs.
  • You have self-drive and are willing to take ownership.
  • You have outstanding English communication skills to work successfully in an international dynamic team environment.
