Description:
NAU MAI, HAERE MAI KI ŪPOKO KI TE URU HAUORA.
- Based at Wellington Regional Hospital
- Start 27 January 2025
- This is a non training role and a good opportunity for someone wanting to know more about this specialty, with a view to potentially training in radiation oncology
- You will be responsible for clinical management of patients in a fully supported training environment and be joining a team of 10 radiation oncologists and 7 trainee registrars.
- Most of our patients are outpatients with a small number of inpatients, on average 5 per week. You will be responsible for managing the inpatients along with the other registrars and a ward based house officer.
- You will attend outpatient clinics with a radiation oncologist to see new and follow up patients.
- You will participate in an acute roster assessing patients receiving radiation treatment.
- You will participate in an after-hours on call roster, including weekends till 11pm, a 1 in 8 rotation.
RMO salaries are calculated based on relevant previous years of experience and the average weekly hours of work as set out in the relevant run description. For the current salary bands, please refer to either the Specialty Trainees of New Zealand (SToNZ) or Resident Doctors’ Association (RDA) Single-Employer Collective Agreements.
