Description:

We have 400 staff within our Irish clinics, where the business operates diagnostic imaging and minor injuries center’s around the country, offering a broad range of cutting-edge imaging technology and healthcare services to the public, insurers, employers and other organisations.

We are now seeking an experienced Radiographer Aide to join our team in Affidea - Cork. This is a full time position - 36 hours per week Monday to Sunday (12 hours per shift)

  • Checking 3 key identifiers
  • Fully informing patients of scan process while escorting them from reception to scan area
  • Providing emotional and physical support to patients prior to and following their scan
  • Providing support to radiographer with probe /coil changes and assisting with taking patients on and off the scanner
  • Ensuring patient safety at all times
  • Communicating with all team members to ensure an efficient workflow and a positive and professional experience for the patient.
  • General upkeep of Ultrasound /MRI suite and maintaining JCI standards of Hygiene
  • Ordering and stock control of clinical supplies
  • General admin duties associated with updating and maintaining clear and precise documentation for each patient on RIS (Radiology Information System)
  • Liaising with all Affidea team members to ensure a positive and pleasant working environment.

Flexible and competent to work both at reception and in the treatment areas from time to time as the role requires crossover between the two functions.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Leaving Certificate or equivalent
  • Fluent in written and Oral English

Desirable

  • FETAC Level 5 Care Assistant
  • FETAC with Radiographer Module complete

Manual Handling, Basic Life Support, Fire Training Certificates

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in a care assistant role in a hospital or nursing home environment is beneficial but not critical
  • Excellent customer facing skills
