Description:

The Radiology Directorate in ABUHB is seeking to recruit enthusiastic and committed individuals to join our Band 5 Radiography team working full time 37.5 hours per week. We are recruiting for posts at The Grange University Hospital, Cwmbran.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in an innovative Health Board, increase your clinical experience and advance your career pathway. Applications are welcome from HCPC registered Radiographers to undertake a range of plain film imaging examinations including fluoroscopy and radiographic procedures in theatre.
You will be expected to provide clinical excellence and assist in the organisation of the clinical area providing effective and efficient patient care. Applicants should have a flexible approach, be patient focussed and committed to delivering the highest standards of clinical care.
The general x-ray department provides 24/7 service, 365 days a year at The Grange University Hospital.
A good communicator and team player, you will be expected to demonstrate evidence of commitment to CPD and participate in departmental CPD sessions both online and practically. Participation in the shift system will be expected along with rotation to any other radiology departments within the Health Board as per service requirements.

The duties of this post includes,
Performing all radiographic duties to a high standard, including all necessary documentation and patient computer records
Participation on the out of hours and weekend rota. 12 hour shifts & 7.5 hours shifts to include weekend & bank holiday day & night shifts. Shift start times are 0800, 08:30, 09:00, 2000. Rotation to other sites will be required.
To be responsible for ensuring the provision of high-quality images in an efficient, professional, and caring manner.
To have and maintain an in-depth knowledge of current radiographic techniques and equipment.
To communicate effectively with patients and all grades of staff to give technical and professional advice as required.
The departments host undergraduate radiography students on placement from Cardiff University and you will be expected to be involved in their training and supervision.
To make an ongoing contribution to the education of others.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
