Description:

An exciting opportunity exists for a Radiographer/Sonographer - Senior, to deliver high level clinical Radiography services and provide leadership across one or more specific work units to stakeholders/customers of the Medical Imaging Service, Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) and Queensland Health.
Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.
Deliver Ultrasound clinical services to stakeholders/customers of the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) and Queensland Health, across a multidisciplinary team and at the service level.
The discipline of Ultrasound operates under Medical Imaging as a single discipline unit with a Director. The Medical Imaging Service is an HHS wide Directorate which reports to the SCHHS COO. Medical Imaging retains a professional reporting line to the Executive Director of Allied Health.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver independent high-level Sonographer clinical practice with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision. Exercise professional judgement to a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence.
  • Undertake clinical governance activities, such as the development of clinical practices and guidelines that support the continuum of care.
  • Provide clinical advice and education to professional and operational teams, relevant service managers and other stakeholders regarding service delivery, utilising high level written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
    Remuneration value up to $152,776 p.a., comprising salary between $124,135 - $133,901 p.a (f/t)., or salary rates: $62.75 - $67.53 p.f. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4). (Permanent full time, 76 hrs p.f. or part time positions).
