Description:
To work independently under the direction of a Radiographer to maintain and support an efficient day-to-day running of the Radiology service. To contribute to the general running of the Radiology service.
To work under direction of Radiographers in the overall clinical and administrative management of patients.
To be delegated routine Radiographic examination tasks to be carried out independently and progress examinations within guidelines and protocols.
To be accountable for these tasks.
To participate in training to update and assist in service changes within designated area. To be flexible and be prepared to work in other areas depending on service needs.
We are recruiting for a radiography assistant to join the Mammography team in Singleton Hospital. The role is patient-focused, service driven and requires flexibility.
This role requires excellent communication skills in order to explain the preparation required for the scanning procedures carried out whilst caring for the patients, You will work along side radiographers and consultant radiologists to ensure all patient recieve the best care.
