About Us: Bradken, a leader in the industrial manufacturing sector, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Radiography Production Supervisor to join our team in Tacoma, Washington. This unique role emphasizes the strategic oversight of production management while integrating the technical rigor of radiography supervision, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of services that support both internal and external customers.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Radiography Production Supervisor, you will be at the forefront of managing our production processes and radiography program. Your primary focus will be on driving production efficiency and quality, ensuring seamless operations, and leading a team to achieve optimal performance. Additionally, you will oversee radiography operations to maintain compliance with company, ASNT, and military requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current or prior certification as Level II in Radiography (essential).
  • Relatable leadership qualification (desirable).

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience as a lead or supervisor in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in a quality assurance/inspection function (essential).

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Proven ability to lead and manage production processes effectively.
  • Strong understanding of ASME, ASTM, Military codes, customer specifications, and technical drawings.
  • Proficient computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office and CAD software.
  • Strong mathematical skills (including algebra).
  • Ability to create and interpret technical drawings.
  • Ability to manage and resolve conflicts.
  • Strong technical and interpersonal problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage production processes to ensure efficient, high-quality operations.
  • Supervise the radiography program and personnel, ensuring compliance with company standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform internal and external audits to support the company’s ISO 9001 certification.
  • Participate in customer, ASME, and ISO audits.
  • Conduct quality/process improvement projects and investigations as directed by the NDT Manager.
  • Develop work instructions, procedures, and reporting formats to ensure compliance with industry practices and customer requirements.
  • Ensure timely and reliable results from all internal NDT procedures and practices.
  • Provide leadership and daily direction to production staff and NDT operators, ensuring the quality and reliability of results.
  • Ensure accurate calibration and maintenance of testing equipment.
  • Liaise with external NDT and calibration suppliers to ensure accurate and consistent results.
  • Review and address any inconsistencies or anomalies in results.
