YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate of an approved school of Radiological Technology required.
- Current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals(NSCMIRTP) is required
- Current successful completion of a Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada Basic Life Support (BLS)program within the last 12 months or successful completion of a BLS Renewal Challenge Certificate is required.
- Mammography positioning skills experience preferred, screening or diagnostics.
- Experience in breast ultrasound and interventional procedures an asset
- Demonstrated ability to make independent technical decisions and work as part of an interdisciplinary team, required
- A high degree of mental and visual acuity, as well as reasonable manual dexterity is required
- Must be willing to obtain continuing education as part of CAR Mammography Accreditation
- Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
- Competencies in other languages an asset.
