Description:

The appointed engineer will join our on-site engineering team working in conjunction with radiographers, physicists and other clinical staff. The post holder will provide engineering support for Varian IX and TrueBeam Linear Accelerators at Cheltenham and our satellite centre in Hereford. On-call support is provided on weekday evenings and the occasional weekend. The main duties of the role are associated with the provision of hands-on fault diagnosis and specialist repair of clinical radiotherapy treatment equipment.
The post holder will be required to make decisions on the safe performance of the equipment and take actions, balancing the requirement for safety and avoiding delays to patient treatment
