MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE:

Key duties and tasks will include, but will not be restricted or limited to:

  • Provide leadership for all staff involved in the delivery of ground handling services.
  • To set and ensure operation procedures achieve quality and performance standards.
  • Meet ground handling service performance objectives by monitoring, reporting and follow up of actual performance.
  • Planning and implementation of staff resource requirements and training needs.
  • Assess staff performance, conduct and coordinate appraisals and deal with disciplinary issues that may arise.
  • Ensure accurate and quality communications take place with all relevant internal and external parties such as Passenger Services and Customer Airline Management (particularly during operational disrupts)
  • Development of an efficient, customer focused and industrially stable workforce, based on a strategy of staff involvement, accountability, development and team work.
  • Ensure appropriate reporting of all accidents and incidents with all corrective actions implemented.
  • Ensure client ground handling standards are consistently met.
  • Maintain a high standard of presentation for Menzies Aviation.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with sub-contractors and monitor their performance.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Airport authorities.
  • Ensure all revenue streams are captured (overview and understanding of RSMS).
  • Responsible for day-to-day operational performance, safety, security and customer satisfaction through effective support and management of delivery areas.
  • Any other duties as allocated from time to time
  • Shift work role covering the Domestic and International ramp operations, Monday to Sunday on a rotational roster.
