Responsibilities:
Are you passionate about sustainable land management and resource conservation? We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Rangeland Agrologist to join our dynamic team. As a Rangeland Agrologist, you will play a pivotal role in managing and administering rangeland resources on Alberta’s public lands, ensuring their long-term sustainability, and fostering a balance between development, use, and conservation.
Utilize state-of-the-art technical transfer techniques to provide essential information and resources to clients within the framework of legislation and regulations governing public land management. This involves conducting workshops, publications, and individual client consultations to enhance knowledge and skills in rangeland resource management and sustainable practices.
Contribute to the development of land management policies and operational programs within the guidelines of the Alberta Forestry and Parks). Identify strategic issues, participate in policy committees, and provide valuable input to shape provincial policies and procedures.
Manage and administer agricultural dispositions and activities on public lands, ensuring compliance with regulations and conditions. Evaluate rangeland dispositions, make informed decisions on renewals or cancellations based on field inspections, and collaborate with clients to develop sustainable range management practices.
