WHAT YOU WILL DO:

This position forms part of the Local Laws Unit and with a focus on animal management, it is responsible for the full range of compliance and enforcement functions of Council including (but not limited to) Local Laws, Animal Management, Litter Prevention and Traffic/Parking Control.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Ability to interpret and apply procedures, policies, Local Laws and relevant legislation to investigate offences and enforce compliance.
• Demonstrated understanding of animal husbandry and animal (domestic and livestock) handling skills.
• Ability to provide a high standard of customer service, including providing practical advice/solutions, providing timely response and dealing with difficult people.
• Current Victorian Drivers License
