In order to be successful in this role we would be looking for the right competencies and aptitudes as well as your proven track record of success in a similar role and environment. (we can reword this slightly)

Responsibilities:

We are recruiting for a R,D&A Analytical Senior Scientist to join our R,D&A team in Naas.
This role provides information to flavour creation teams on what compounds make up the aroma/flavour of a sample. This is used for all matching projects, can be used for analysis of real-world samples (e.g. grilled cheese sandwich), as well as troubleshooting off-notes. This role also supports the quality functions across UK and Ireland by providing analysis to support customer and QC complaints.
The focus of this role is to support our research and development functions by successfully isolating and analysing flavour and aroma ingredients from a variety of food matrices using a range of sample preparation techniques and analytical instrumentation.
Main activities of the role are to provide, interpret and report compositional analytical data from match analysis of competitor products, as well as foods, flavours, flavour raw materials and intermediates to identify and quantify volatile flavour compounds in support of the product development process.
