Description:

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Studying Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, Food Science, Brewing/Distilling Science or related scientific degrees and on track for a 2:1 degree classification.

  • Motivated and persistent performer with the determination and drive to succeed.
  • Good communication and laboratory skills.
  • Strong ability to interpret results and organise follow up work.
  • Strong ability to work well in a team and on your own.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft office – Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an opportunity for a research, Development and Application (RDA) Intern to join our Menstrie site on a 12-month placement.
Kerry is one of the world’s main producers of yeast & yeast extracts. Our manufacturing facility located in Menstrie, Stirling (Scotland) employs some of the most advanced technology and processing techniques in the industry.
Our research, development & applications (RD&A) team of scientists actively work on research projects related to yeast propagation, extraction & autolysis, and developing processes to aid with this. Our team of applications scientists focus on applying yeast & yeast extract in customer applications to enhance the taste & function of many final products such as snacks, soups, bakery and many more.
