QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Open for fresh graduates with Bachelors Degree in Food Science, Food Tech or similar field.
- Experience in similar commercialization role would be an advantage, preferably from a food and beverage manufacturing company with HACCP, GMP & ISO 22000 certified environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Work Location: Murarrie, Brisbane, Australia
Reporting to: RD&A Scientist
An individual who can play a key role in simplification of our current new product development process and recommend improvements by engaging with the wider team whilst utilising your food scientist background. This role will provide critical enhancement to our current systems and processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for all co-ordination and administration support of New Product Scale-Ups / Commercialization / Cost Saving Projects Technical Attendance.
- Running low complexity as per Global guidelines, product trials and commercialization execution for Senior Scientists and Managers.
- Review material to be used for quality and shelf life.
- Point of contact for Research, Development and Applications (RD&A); attend pre-run and planning calls, complete pre-run checklist, validate mixing instructions, process parameters before trials, attend trials, validate process parameters during trials and troubleshooting.
- Post-trial review process, processing instructions, align with Scientist and other team members.
- Collect relevant R&D samples; shelf-life/analytical samples, customer samples and assist in shelf-life studies as needed by RD&A Scientists in conjunction with Sampling Technicians.
- Post run product assessments (physical properties, analytical data and sensory), complete post run report with review recommendations and alignment with scientists.
- Manage trial log status for all trials in schedule.
- Key contact for process and systems enhancement, working collaboratively with Regional Simplification Leads.
- Working to ensure correct set up of new products and ingredients as well as completing specification changes or plant detail changes for products.
- Working towards becoming the system super-user and go-to person for our product set ups and amendments.
- Working with the Quality Department to manage and maintain any controlled documentation requiring R&D input.
- Expand product knowledge by cross training in other technologies, assisting commercialization team.
- Assist the ANZ RD&A team in other tasks and projects as requested by the manager on an ad hoc basis.
