Responsibilities:
YOUR NEW ROLE
As the RDA Regional Community Manager for the ARDC, you will play a pivotal role in engaging and growing the RDA community within Oceania and Eastern Asia. You will be responsible for managing engagement with the global RDA community, facilitating local growth, and coordinating regional stakeholder-specific impact and outreach resources. Your role will involve understanding, interpreting, and presenting the work of RDA groups to diverse audiences, as well as defining and coordinating short-term community-focused activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Manage engagement with the global RDA community and facilitate local growth in accordance with RDA guiding principles.
- Maintain and manage RDA community support services, including webinars, web pages, mailing lists, and support tools.
- Understand, reinterpret, and present the work of RDA groups to audiences from diverse backgrounds.
- Create and deploy regional stakeholder-specific impact and outreach resources highlighting RDA work and related outputs.
- Coordinate dedicated short-term community-focused activities on topics of interest to regional stakeholders.
- Engage with the RDA Secretariat as the RDA Community Development Manager for Oceania and Eastern Asia.
- Liaise with RDA governance, management, and other RDA regional offices and hubs.
- Grow interest in the region for the International Data Week conference, including the 25th RDA Plenary Meeting in October 2025 in Australia.
