    About the Role
    A newly created role of Re(insurance) Specialist at PIRD, you will be responsible for developing and implementing best practice processes, supporting financial and regulatory reporting and ensuring consistent delivery standards of outsource service providers.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the specific areas of responsibility may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for assessing the integrity of all regulatory reporting to the Central Bank of Ireland including quarterly, annual and ad-hoc reporting requirements.
  • Supporting the Financial Controller with monthly, quarterly and annual IFRS reporting (in particular IFRS17) at both Posche Group and local entity level.
  • Manage and develop the interaction between the Company and outsource providers to ensure consistent delivery of services.
  • Driving and developing best practice processes supported by the implementation of relevant automation wherever possible.
  • Supporting projects to drive business development.
  • Preparation of operational reporting for both management and board of directors.
  • Support in the delivery of Porsche Strategy 2030 objectives

What are we looking for?

  • The ideal candidate will be degree educated with over 5 years of relevant professional experience in a reinsurance, insurance or other regulated business environment.
  • A thorough understanding of accounting for insurance contracts under IFRS17 is essential.
  • Knowledge of financial accounting and actuarial related experience is also vital.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • A high sense of responsibility and integrity, an independent approach to work and great commitment.
  • Close attention to detail and an ability to work to a high level of accuracy.
  • Well organised and able to work to tight deadlines.
  • An ability to work in a process driven environment.
  • An inquisitive mind, searching for solutions and new approaches to tasks.
  • Advance Microsoft skills required, SAP / HANA knowledge a nice to have.
  • A knowledge of insurance systems and application of data science.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English; German as a second language would be a useful attribute but not essential.
