APS 5 - COORDINATOR, READING ROOM STAFFING AND ROSTERING (APS MOBILITY OPPORTUNITY)

The Library is seeking to fill a non-ongoing APS 5 Coordinator, Reading Room Staffing and Rostering role in the Reader Services section of the Engagement Branch. This role is available from late April 2024 until 2 March 2025 and offers suitable applicants the experience of to work at one of Australia’s leading cultural institutions.
Responsibilities:
As a member of the Reader Services team, you will primarily support the Library’s customer-focused reference and client services, including through the Library’s reading rooms and through online and phone reference channels, including answering more complex reference enquiries. Some evening and weekend work is also required.
In addition, you will undertake rostering and scheduling of Library staff to all Library service points including Reading Rooms, Ask a Librarian phone, Foyer Information Desk and Switchboard. The role assists with the management and monitoring of the Reading Room Staffing Program and is responsible for the daily coordination and supervision of the Foyer Information Desk staff.
