Description:

Overview of the Role:
The European Logistics Sector Team, based in Frankfurt, works on all national and international Logistics Transactions that are executed for Nuveen. The Platform serves national as well as international clients and equity mandates covering the full investment scope from core to opportunistic. As an Associate within the Logistics Team you can expect to participate in exciting investment opportunities and support Fund Management in the active management of our existing portfolio, while collaborating with talented colleagues around Europe.

Key responsibilities:

  • Initial screening and input into team discussion and review of new investment opportunities for the German logistics platform.
  • Creating acquisition cash flow models and analysis of relevant investment opportunities for varying internal and external sources of capital, including sensitivity analysis, tax and leveraging modelling, buy/hold/sell analysis.
  • Co-ordinate and make a strong contribution to Investment Committee papers for new acquisitions and dispositions, as well as regular Investment Committee updates for the existing portfolio.
  • Modelling in Excel and ARGUS Enterprise real estate asset models.
  • Actively supporting contract negotiations, due diligence, project management, investment committee approvals, finance and closing transactions.
  • Assist Fund Management in reporting to the Investment Committee, Clients, Investors and other interested parties on matters relating to fund analysis and performance.
  • Provide analytical support in the regular review of the annual business plans throughout the year.
  • Deliver a positive impact in further growing the value add strategy of our pan-European logistics platform.

Qualifications & Experience Required

  • Strong academic background with higher level education (bachelor or masters degree)
  • Min. 2 years of working experience in real estate investments
  • A sound understanding of fundamental performance measurement and investment analysis principles with a strong commercial acumen.
  • Strong analytical and Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel)
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, team player
  • Motivated self-starter with excellent work ethic
