Description:
Job Overview: As a Receiver & Materials Handler you will be a key member of our logistics and warehouse team, responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of incoming shipments. Your primary role will involve inspecting, documenting, and organizing received goods, ensuring that inventory records are updated and maintained with precision. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role will support receiving, shipping and inventory processes for DROP!
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in using inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to work on feet for eight to ten hours a day.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs throughout the day.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse role is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and damages.
- Verify the contents of packages against packing slips, purchase orders, or invoices.
- Accurately record received items in the inventory management system.
- Document any discrepancies, damages, or shortages and report them to the relevant departments.
- Organize and categorize received goods for efficient storage.
- Ensure that items are stored in designated locations within the warehouse.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to resolve any discrepancies in received goods.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and other relevant departments regarding incoming shipments.
- Update inventory records promptly to reflect accurate stock levels.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and assist in periodic physical inventories.
- Participate in quality control processes to ensure that received goods meet the established standards.
- Identify and report any product defects or issues promptly.
