About the Role
The Administration/Reception person provides general administrative support within the aged care facility under the direct supervision of the Residential Care and Services Manager. This position is the first point of contact for visitors and callers to the facility.
The Administration/Reception person will adopt a positive, efficient, and caring approach to staff, consumers, families, contractors, volunteers, and visitors of all types. The main purpose of this role is to undertake reception and office administration tasks allocated by the facility Office Manager.
Key Duties
Responsibilities:
Telephone reception including the taking of and distribution of messages
Front office reception including the taking of and distribution of messages; greeting of visitors in a friendly, warm, welcoming manner; accepting deliveries.
Receiving and sending of faxes
Processing and sorting of all incoming and outgoing mail
Simple word processing and data entry, photocopying, preparation of meeting agenda and minutes
Maintenance of office supplies and office equipment
Petty cash and banking
Limited liaison with Head Office, suppliers, staff, residents and families.
Report disrespectful or unkind behaviour displayed towards consumers, staff, volunteers and contractors directly to your supervisor
