Overview:
Talent Pool - Administrative & Clerical
This position is accountable to provide general clerical and reception duties to include: Answering phone, meeting and greeting patients and hospital guests, providing accurate directions within the hospital and directions to and from all of the Cone Health facilities. This is a relief role and the schedule will vary.

Responsibilities:

  • Greets all patients, visitors and employees entering the facility in a courteous and professional manner, displaying good communication skills. (Includes placing one’s self in a highly visible position to facilitate active greeting.)
  • Arranges for or provides personal escort service whenever appropriate and necessary, can include assisting individual via wheelchair.
  • Provides accurate directions to patient rooms, hospital departments, etc.
  • Answers all calls/requests promptly, courteously and efficiently. Transfers calls correctly and provides non-confidential hospital information to the caller as needed. Maintains confidential information in compliance with HIPAA laws.
  • Maintains documentation to facilitate operation of the information center.
  • Utilize EPIC to retrieve patient information.
  • Performs job in a cost-effective manner and maintains work area in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Assist with Systemwide duties as assigned by Supervisor or Director.
  • Performs routine clerical and administrative tasks as assigned by Supervisor or Director.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or equivalent - Required
Associates Degree - Preferred

EXPERIENCE:

One year of clerical and/or receptionist experience required - Required
Prior Epic system experience preferred. Prior experience in a customer service environment preferre - Preferred
