POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Office Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for a wide variety of clerical office duties in support of agency administration. This includes greeting, and screening visitors/clients, answering and referring inbound telephone calls, and scheduling appointments. The Front Desk Receptionist will also be responsible for administrating agency correspondence.
The successful candidate will have a pleasant and welcoming personality, as this is a customer service role and represent the agency to existing and prospective clients.
This role is for eleven hours a week, with additional hours for sick and vacation coverage.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Customer service experience,
- 2 years of direct work experience in a receptionist capacity.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- High school diploma or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of general office procedures
- Adjusts and is flexible to meet changing work needs and demands.
- Superior telephone manners and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:
- Welcome visitors with a positive and professional manner
- Respond to telephone, e-mail, and in-person inquiries from clients, business partners, and other parties.
- Refer all inquiries to the appropriate individuals, divisions, or departments across the agency.
- Observe and report any security issues to the Office Manager.
- Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms, and brochures)
- Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail and packages.
- Be aware of emergency evacuation procedures and help support senior management in the event an evacuation is required.
