Marlin Coast Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced and outgoing Receptionist to work a variety of shifts on our busy reception desk (which will include day, evening and some weekend shifts). Join our awesome team!
The role

This role is primarily responsible for providing excellent customer service, including:

  • Handling client enquiries professionally in person, by email and over the phone
  • Managing the day-to-day appointment schedule
  • Processing payments & balancing end of day takings
  • Administration support to our team of specialists, Veterinarians and Nurses
  • Product sales and client education
  • A permanent full-time role with variety
  • Monday to Friday, 10 hour shifts within the hours of 7.00 am – 7.30 pm (4 shifts per week)
  • Some Saturday work required (estimated 1 in 4)
  • Industry specific training will be provided to the right candidate

The ideal candidate will be someone who is:

  • Committed to providing the highest standard of care to our patients, customers and staff
  • Mature with the ability to remain professional while dealing with a diverse clientele and a range of animals entering the clinic
  • Able and willing to work with a sense of urgency at times & effectively multi-task
  • Has an enthusiastic and positive approach to their work and the team
  • Intermediate computer skills with the ability to pick up a new client booking system.
  • Possibly have worked as a Veterinary Nurse or Human Nurse in the past and have demonstrated triage skills (although please note that this role does not contain any nursing responsibilities and is not likely to lead to a Veterinary Nursing position).
