Description:
Riverview School is an independent coeducational boarding/day school, providing a caring community for adolescents and young adults with complex language, learning and cognitive disabilities. We are committed to developing student competence and confidence in academic, social and independent living skills.Receptionist: Part Time (24 hours per week) Non-ExemptA.QUALIFICATIONS: 1.The Receptionist is required to have strong organizational and time management skills, excellent communication skills (written and verbal), the ability to multi-task, and be proficient in all Microsoft Office and Google programs (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, G-mail, Sheets, Docs).2.The Receptionist must demonstrate the ability to problem solve, self-initiate, be flexible, and step in to assist other departments as needed.3.The Receptionist is required to be comfortable learning Riverviews student information system to utilize and be proficient in daily. 4.The Receptionist must demonstrate the ability to learn, understand and implement Riverview’s philosophy, goals and related policies and procedures.5.The Receptionist must be able to work collaboratively with a variety of internal and external teams.B.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.Answer and direct phone calls in a polite and professional manner, responding to questions and addressing concerns as appropriate.2.Welcome families, students, visitors, and community members in a warm and friendly manner and answer any questions they may have.3.Sort and distribute incoming mail. Prepare outgoing mail with postage, FedEx, UPS dependent on the request.4.Assist with the development of orientation packets and materials.5.Keep records of visitors and complete required clearances and screenings by utilizing the Lobby Guard system.
6.Enter data into various databases and generate queries and reports as needed.7.Provide assistance to the Academic Administrative Assistant with missing students, all-calls, student accountability procedures.8.Oversee room booking calendars and the faculty portal. Post and edit information on the portal as needed.9.Conduct school wide communications all user emails for Administrative, faculty and staff. 10.Process departmental requests, and other forms, obtaining necessary approvals and signatures and directing them to appropriate recipients. 11.Assist in the population and administration of the Learning Management System.12.Prepare schedules and sign-in sheets for orientation and in-service; maintain attendees and presenters.
13.Maintain reception area and keep surrounding areas tidy and organized.14.Take inventory of supplies, restocking as needed, process supply orders from faculty and staff.15.Complete tasks and projects assigned by the Administrative Office Manager.16.Assist with student travel planning.17.Complete any other related, relevant, and required duties, as assigned.18.Demonstrate the flexibility needed to step in to assist other departments as needed.19.Every day, ensure that safety policies and procedures are being followed.20.Maintain active communication with all departments, relaying pertinent information in a timely fashion.21.All other duties as assigned.C.
