Description:
Powell Contracting, a division of RSG International, was established in 1967. Our integrated solutions and project delivery strategies improve project timelines and processes, generating increased capabilities for projects including outfitting highways, transit systems, airports, and municipal contracts.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Receptionist will act as the first point of contact and provide administrative support to various companies within RSG International.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 2+ years of administrative/reception experience in a corporate environment
- Previous experience working in the construction industry is an asset
- Mature individual with professional appearance and demeanor
- Excellent telephone manner with strong communication skills
- Excellent judgement and decision-making skills
- Highly organized, reliable, and punctual
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities:
- Answer all calls in a professional manner and efficiently transfer them to the applicable department or individual
- Direct visitors accordingly by maintaining employee and department directories
- Coordinate couriers and prepare any outgoing mail
- Administrate timesheets daily
- Organize and manage inventory of all office supplies
- Organize and maintain files, records, and documents.
- Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable
- Book meeting rooms and confirm appointments when required
- Field incoming supplier calls; respond, redirect, and escalate as appropriate
- Fleet commissioning and decommissioning
- Provide day-to-day administrative support including typing, researching, and preparing documents etc.
- Create PowerPoint presentations on ad hoc basis
- Assist with any other tasks or special projects as required
