Receptionist
St Patrick’s Mental Health Services is seeking four Receptionists to provide reception and switchboard duties.

The available contracts are:

  • 1.0 WTE Full time, Permanent contract – Shift work (Location: St Patrick’s Hospital, Dublin 8)
  • 0.5 WTE Part-time, Permanent contract – Shift work (Location: St Patrick’s Hospital, Dublin 8)
  • 0.5 WTE Part-time, Permanent contract – Shift work (Location: St Patrick’s Hospital, Lucan)
  • 0.5 WTE Part-time, Permanent contract – Shift work (Location: St Patrick’s Hospital, Lucan)

The successful candidates must have:

  • Experience in Reception in a mental health care environment
  • Experience in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel
  • Switchboard experience
  • Knowledge of RIO or internal health system is desirable

QUALIFICATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Candidates must have:

  • Experience in Reception in a mental health care environment
  • Switchboard experience
  • Knowledge of RIO or internal health system is desirable

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

Receptionist

  • 1.0 WTE Full time, Permanent contract – 35 hours per week (Location: St Patrick’s Hospital, Dublin 8)
  • 0.5 WTE Part-time, Permanent contract – 17.5 hours per week (Location: St Patrick’s Hospital, Dublin 8)
  • 0.5 WTE Part-time, Permanent contract –17.5 hours per week (Location: St Patrick’s Hospital, Lucan)
  • 0.5 WTE Part-time, Permanent contract – 17.5 hours per week (Location: St Patrick’s Hospital, Lucan)

The Receptionist will report to the Administration Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties of the Receptionist are outlined below. In carrying out all duties, the Receptionist should ensure all Health and Safety legislation; Hospital procedures and legislative policies are followed at all times.

  • Meet and greet Service User’s and visitors.
  • Answering the switch board and transferring calls as required.
  • Sorting of hospital post.
  • Record all registered and courier delivered post and ensure same is received by relevant service users and staff.
  • Order and log all taxis on hospital account.
  • Operate emergency response systems to include Medical, Psychiatric, Patient Absconding button, Fire alarm and Evacuation plan.
  • Maintain master copy of Consultant and Registrars Rota and log Rota changes.
