Description:

Hansen’s Group of Companies currently looking for a temporary Receptionist to join our Scarborough, Ontario location.

We are actively seeking an individual to take on a variety of responsibilities and tasks in their role as a Receptionist during the Spring/Summer months.

Responsibilities include:

  • Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office
  • Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
  • Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
  • Ensure cleanliness of office reception area is tidy and presentable daily, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
  • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
  • Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
  • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges)
  • Order front office supplies and keep inventory of stock
  • Update calendars and schedule meetings
  • Arrange travel and accommodations, and prepare vouchers
  • Keep updated records of office expenses and costs
  • Responsible for daily collection and disposal of garbage and recycling

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work in desired shifts. Monday - Friday 8.00 am – 4.30 pm.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years customer service and administrative experience required.
  • Reception and familiarity with phone systems experience considered an asset.
  • Must be team oriented with a positive attitude.
  • Personable, reliable, courteous.
  • Strong computer skills

Physical Demand

  • Full ability to Stand.
  • Ability to sit for more than 1 hour.
  • Full Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Ability to view computer screen for long periods of time

Work Environment

  • Work Hours: 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday 8.00 am – 4.30 pm, 30 min Lunch.
  • Occasional Overtime as required.
  • Indoors Office.
  • Some locations are not accessible by public transportation or by foot or bicycle, access to our office is only possible by means of automobile. You may be required to have a vehicle.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
