How you make a difference:
As a Recovery Treatment Assistant, you will provide medical and mental health care services to patients in accordance with Massachusetts Department of Corrections policies. Working under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN), Chief Nursing Officer, and Chief of Social Work, you will be responsible for ensuring appropriate documentation requirements are met and providing effective input into clinical pathways and treatment planning. Additionally, you will be responsible for patient supervision and patient care services to support their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides therapeutic care to patients, assists with daily activities, and maintains a safe and clean environment.
  • Assists licensed nursing staff in providing direct services, including data collection, observation, and assistance with activities of daily living.
  • Acts as a Specially Trained Observer for patients in seclusion or restraint, and oversees patient whereabouts, mealtime assistance, and transportation.
  • Maintains confidentiality of client information, engages in professional development, and provides age-appropriate care and treatment to patients.
  • Completes clinical documentation related to patient participation in the recovery plan, including treatment and care.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education

  • High school Diploma, GED or equivalent.

Experience

  • 1 year experience in mental/behavioral health.

Licenses/Certifications

  • CPR Certification required prior to providing direct care.
