Description:
With the growth of our business, we are looking for a Recruiter Assistant. In your role as the Recruiter Assistant, you are a KEY SUPPORTER and will be responsible in supporting all the Recruitment, On-boarding, Administrative functions as well as Ad-hoc HR projects across all of our restaurants in Toronto & GTA.
As a Recruitment Assistant you must always lead by example by living the Seth culture with all interactions you have in the company with management, new and existing team members and to help reduce turnover within the organization by keeping our current workforce happily engaged with the team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Advertising job opportunities and reviewing the applications in a timely manner.
- Screening and reviewing applications and resumes and calling potential candidates in for interviews using your knowledge, experience and judgment to see if they would be a good fit with the team. You will also facilitate background checks if required.
- Interviewing candidates and using the ‘Seth Family Ways’, our company Core Values as your principal means of understanding if the new team member would be the right fit in the organization if required.
- Support On-boarding sessions with the selected candidates.
- Help on-board the new hires in the restaurant using our Welcome Kit and help the restaurant with their training if necessary.
- Preparing or updating employment records related to hiring, transferring, promoting, and terminating.
- Following up with the new team members to ensure the training is going well and get to know their initial thoughts on their job. Following up with the Managers to get feedback about the new team members and communicate and/or take any further action required.
- Staying up to date with all the company wide internal initiatives and Tim Hortons operational updates and communicating the information to the Team Members, Binder Champions, Supervisors and Managers.
REQUIREMENTS
- Be available to work flexible shifts and weekends.
- Have at least 1 year of experience in food service industry or other related fields.
- Be guest service oriented and committed to deliver exceptional guest experience.
- Have strong organizational and communication skills and a lot of patience
- Embrace our Servant leadership model to positively train, communicate and help team members.
- Pride yourself in building relationships with your guests and your team.
- Demonstrate a passion for leading, coaching and serving your team.
- Having a driver license and your own vehicle is an asset.
- Be willing to commute to multiple restaurants when needed
- Have or currently pursuing a post-secondary degree/diploma focused on Human Resources is an asset.
