JOB SUMMARY

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is looking for an enthusiastic candidate to fill the entry level Recruiting Coordinator position and to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This remote, part-time, position’s main responsibility is to support the recruiting department by being assigned specific aspects of the process such as hiring, onboarding, and training processes to see a candidate to the final hiring stages. Additional duties may include reviewing resumes, evaluating candidates, scheduling, and conducting interviews.
The top candidate must be an outgoing individual, a great communicator, a fast learner, and a good judge of character to quickly discern whether people have intangible traits and experience that will make them valuable assets when attempting to fill specific roles within our organization.
Strong communication and time management skills and innovative thinking are essential in this role to ensure successful recruitment and timely project completion.

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Organizational Skills: Recruiting coordinators manage multiple tasks simultaneously, including scheduling interviews, coordinating recruitment events, and maintaining candidate records. Strong organizational skills are essential to prioritize tasks and ensure efficiency throughout the recruitment process.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication is crucial for recruiting coordinators to interact with candidates, hiring managers, and team members. Clear and concise communication, both written and verbal, facilitates smooth coordination and fosters positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: Recruiting coordinators must pay close attention to detail to accurately maintain candidate records, schedule interviews, and ensure compliance with recruitment policies and procedures. A keen eye for detail helps to minimize errors and maintain high standards throughout the recruitment process.
  • Time Management: Recruiting coordinators often work in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines. Effective time management skills are essential to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and ensure that the recruitment process progresses smoothly without delays.
  • Customer Service: Recruiting coordinators serve as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the recruitment process. EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or equivalent is preferred
  • Key Skills/Experience Required for Interview Selection ONLY
  • This is a part-time, no benefits position
  • Teachable, personable individual
  • No experience needed; however, relevant work experience and training may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • HR experience a plus
  • 1 years of recruiting support experience in a fast-paced environment a plus
  • Potential for recruiting hire / upward movement

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and may include lifting thirty pounds, as necessary.
