We are looking for a dynamic, experienced, self-motivated recruitment specialist to join our team! This position is crucial in overseeing all aspects of the recruitment process across NAIT to ensure all screening, hiring, and selection is done in accordance with employment laws and regulations. This role is responsible for full cycle recruiting, including senior level opportunities, plus spearheading the implementation of NAIT’s Recruitment Enhancement Project. The successful candidate will have a strong customer focus, provide excellent HR service to our clients, and play a significant role in elevating recruitment processes by working as a strategic business partner with hiring areas and by leveraging technology to support and guide NAIT in hiring the best calibre of candidates.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- The successful applicant will be a critical thinker who is high-detailed, accountable, and organized. They must be a strong multi-tasker and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, running several competitions simultaneously
- They must have a strong client support focus and be an effective communicator with a proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships
- Although this individual will work very collaboratively with other HR team members and other NAIT areas, they must also be able to work independently, display good initiative, be self-aware and have excellent time management skills
- Strategic planning and experience leading change initiatives
- Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills are essential to be successful in this role
- Senior level recruitment experience as well as training/facilitation experience desirable
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of a Diploma in Human Resources or related field
- At least 5 years full recruiting experience, including senior level positions, and preferably in a post-secondary environment
- Considerable experience working with and sourcing candidates through LinkedIN
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft
- Experience in the use of Peoplesoft and StartDate (ATS) would be beneficial
- Delivery of formal training sessions to large audiences
- Project Management certification considered a definite asset
- Knowledge and experience with AI in recruitment would be a definite asset
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services or the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS).
Remuneration: $72,614 - $96,198 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package. (Classification – Excluded X125)
Responsibilities:
- Support all areas of NAIT by providing full-cycle recruitment, including Senior Level positions
- Source candidates through LinkedIn for current and future job opportunities
- Develop and deliver training to NAIT leaders on recruitment processes (eg. screening resumes, chairing interviews)
- Coordinate the implementation and maintenance of NAIT’s comprehensive Recruitment Enhancement Project
- Research and recommend innovative strategies for effectively attracting top caliber applicants, especially in difficult to recruit to positions
- Determine creative methods of addressing the changing demographics of talent pools
- Explore best practices to elevate the NAIT recruitment experience for all applicants
- Investigate possible assessment tools and work in collaboration with hiring areas to select and administer any applicable tools
- Monitor and recommend improvements to NAIT’s recruitment policies and processes
- Create strategies for recruiting casual and contract instructors for all programs across NAIT
- Track the collection and storage of relevant competition records for providing recruitment statistics
