RECYCLING DEPOT ATTENDANT AT THE BAILEY LANDFILL CHILLIWACK

A Recycling Depot Attendant provides direction to the public for them to navigate the facility in a safe manner while properly recycling of their materials.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and direct customers upon entry to recycling depot as necessary
- Direct customers and members of the general public to unload materials quickly, safely, and efficiently in proper receptacles
- Communicate/educate customers on acceptable recyclable products.
- Correctly identify that materials delivered to recycling depot conform with site rules and restrictions
- Assist customers with alternative disposal or recycling options for unacceptable products (landfill or other depots)
- Provide all customers with outstanding customer service
- Monitor inventories and inform/arrange for pick-up
- Provide on-site traffic control as volume of incoming/outgoing traffic can be heavy
- Provide on-site litter control in order to maintain a safe environment
- Maintain a strong and open communication link with Emterra supervisor and other organizations (Subcontractors and landfill staff)
- Provide recommendations to improve efficiency, service levels and safety
- Perform other duties as assigned
