Equans NZ is looking for a Refrigeration & HVAC Service Technician to join our friendly Napier branch supporting our customers in the Hawkes Bay region.

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Relevant Equivalent Trade Qualifications
  • Ability to obtain an electrical registration (required)
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience with:
  • Proven experience in the commercial and industrial service, maintenance and installation of equipment within the refrigeration and building services industry;
  • Demonstrated experience with controls and building management systems.
  • Experience working with Transcritical CO2 systems is an advantage, however training will be provided where required.
  • Excellent ability to build effective relationships with clients
  • Excellent communication skills to clearly relate with clients and peers
  • Current clean NZ driver licence, or the ability to obtain one

You will need to have a strong focus on providing top level customer service, working safely, have a solid understanding of relevant industry codes and standards enabling you to perform technical HVAC, refrigeration and electrical work on building services equipment. Experience working on centralised refrigeration (rack systems) for the food industry would be an advantage. Participation in an on-call roster (with great rates) and ongoing overtime opportunities are available.

  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment with a genuine focus on the health and safety of yourself and others.
  • Diagnose technical issues and prioritise workload to meet customer service levels and deliver outcomes in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Ensure customer concerns and complaints are managed efficiently and provide resolution.
  • Leveraging the current customer network, identify potential sales opportunities via the provision of cost-effective solutions for repairs, replacements and upgrades.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and processes to achieve high-quality business delivery objectives and outcomes to meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Pro-actively strengthen customer relationships and create opportunities within the Equans business and community
