Description:

Ingredion is hiring a Regional Category Marketing Director who is responsible for driving growth and development of the Categories in the region. They will identify innovation opportunities, develop the business cases and lead projects through the regional Stage-Gate process. They will launch new products and track their progress, as well as develop sales and go-to-market tools. They will adapt the development and execution of the category strategies to the region, working in collaboration with Sales, Marketing and Technical colleagues. They will also work in collaboration with our agency network to develop and implement the marketing communications program in support of their business area, and with alignment with the global marketing team.

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:

  • Bachelors or Masters’ degree
  • At least 10 years previous experience in a marketing or related role in an international environment, preferable category marketing
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing (Chartered Institute of Marketing) or equivalent
  • Ability to thrive in a high-performance environment
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Flexible, responsive and works well on own initiative

Responsibilities:

  • Drives new programs of the Categories and related Innovation Promise projects across the region
  • Lead, develops and executes the regional category growth marketing plans
  • Monitors competitor landscape closely and uses insight to inform strategy and action plans
  • Conducts regular competitive research on other related products and companies
  • Oversees the development of detailed marketing plans for key target countries in the region [focus categories, customers, products and projects]
  • Ensure all relevant marketing collateral is up to date, and maintain digital content
  • Leverage the market research programs in the region for the categories.
  • Delivers the Innovation Promise targets for the categories in the region
  • Guides the technical and innovation programs for the categories
  • Identifies new innovation project ideas in support of the categories; develop the business cases and project documentation and act as the regional Project Business Owner.
  • Develop and deliver launch plans for new products; track progress in the marketplace
  • Engage with the country/category marketing team to ensure good alignment with the other launch programs
  • In collaboration with the Marketing Communications, develop and support the implementation of the Marketing Communications plan for the categories
