JOB DESCRIPTION

Seize the opportunity to join JPMorgan Chase’s dynamic, fast-paced environment as a Vice President in Business Management, supporting our Asia Pacific Legal Entity Control and Product Control function. This Singapore-based role involves governance, accurate reporting across multiple dimensions and participation in key finance or business initiatives in the region. If you have a background in Finance, Business Management or Project Management, this could be your next career move.
As a Vice President within the Asia Pacific Controller Business Management team, you will be responsible for working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, supporting the legal entity control and product control teams in the region. You will be a key partner, directly responsible in assisting the finance management team who are responsible for the financial reporting, regulatory filings of legal entities in location, legal entity implications for new business initiatives and changes in regulatory framework. You will be responsible for ensuring the priorities and control agenda are met with high control standards. You will also provide timely and accurate reporting across multiple projects, headcount and expenses. This role also offers the opportunity to work independently or partner with colleagues across geographies on projects with regional impact.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES, AND SKILLS

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or other related discipline
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in finance or business management roles in the financial services industry
  • Strong organization and execution experience with a demonstrated ability to meet and enforce deadlines
  • Maintain high level of internal control standards
  • Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel, macros and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to not only derive the answers, but to frame the answers in the proper context for executive data based decision making
  • Able to connect and presents well with audience across different levels including senior and global business heads
  • Broad understanding of banking products and banking industry
  • Self-motivated, tenacious and able to work with high degree of independence
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple countries and regions

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES, AND SKILLS

  • Working knowledge of the climate agenda under the environment, social and governance agenda
  • Understanding of legal, compliance and regulatory requirements for financial institution

Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall governance and ensuring delivery of multiple business initiatives, projects and overall agenda
  • Provide analysis to assess business performance against targets and to provide financial guidance on strategic decisions
  • Ensure optimal resource budgeting and allocation
  • Oversee an effective control environment working closely with other key internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with regional and global stakeholders in delivery of regional and global deliverables
  • Partner with internal stakeholders across multiple items impacting the controllers organization such as controls, Asia Pacific management performance commentaries and the environment, social and governance agenda
  • Focus and build on regional and cross-business partnership
  • Lead business, financial, technology and operational planning to achieve business priorities
  • Lead offsite planning and preparation, training and other ad-hoc initiative
