The Market Sales Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Market, Group, and Team Heads in achieving the ambitious goals the Intermediaries region has set out for itself. The chosen candidate drives the implementation of new sales activities and acts as the liaison between the Team Heads / Relationship Managers in the Markets, the central colleagues in the Regional Client Strategy & Experience (CS&E) Intermediaries & FO, and the product & investment specialist teams at Julius Baer.
The successful candidate will report to the Head Marketing & Sales Regional CS&E Intermediaries & FO.
PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Higher education, preferably a master’s degree
- At least 5 years’ experience in the financial industry preferably in a Multi-Asset Class sales function
- Deep knowledge of the private banking industry in general and the Intermediaries industry in particular
- Excellent understanding of banking products and services with focus on Intermediaries
- Ability to implement concepts related to target client offering and pricing
- Excellent proficiency in using modern banking applications and Microsoft Office applications, Bloomberg and other trading tools a plus
- Proficiency in German and English is required with additional languages (esp. Italian) of benefit
SOFT AND PERSONAL SKILLS:
- The candidate should be capable of working independently with minimal supervision and yet be collaborative in order to draw from the firm’s wealth of experience and expertise
- Excellent conceptual and sales skills
- Should be able to work well in a matrix organisational structure with many different stakeholders
- Communicates in a concise, competent and professional manner
- Excellent team player that is easy to collaborate with
- Strong sense of timeline responsibility and ability to multi-task
- The candidate should have a hands-on mentality
