We are happy to say that we are looking for an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as a Regional Director-Nursing at Primacorp Ventures Inc, BC.
Position: Regional Director- Nursing Program.
Job Status: Full Time
Location: New Westminster, BC
Expected Start Date: ASAP
Reports to: Regional Director of Operations
Salary: $100K-$120K
Must Have: RN License

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (Master’s Degree preferred).
  • Current registration with BCCNM. As a condition of hiring, non - nurse candidate who meets the position requirements will have to commit to a BN degree in order to become a BCCNM member
  • At least 5 years of recent experience in nursing education and practice
  • Experience working with the BC Provincial Curriculum
  • Knowledge of adult education principles & relevant experience in education
  • Familiarity with curriculum development, program coordination, implementation, and evaluation Experience in project management
  • Familiarity with Continuous Improvement Management System is an asset
  • Criminal Record Check
  • Current First Aid-CPR certification

  • Proven research skills, indicated by the ability to collect and validate data, analyze results, summarize conclusions and formulate sound judgment and practical recommendations.
  • Ability to analyse, synthesize and generate reports, proposals and submissions under minimal supervision
  • Ability to develop pedagogical and didactical tools
  • Ability to assess needs for, develop and evaluate professional workshop for the PN faculty
  • Sound professional judgment and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to search and use scientific database such as CINHAL
  • Excellent oral and written communication in English
  • Superior interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize assignments and complete work in a timely manner with accuracy and attention to details
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, delegate, follow up and evaluate
  • Flexibility and ability to deal with and promote change

Responsibilities:

PRIMARY PURPOSE

The Regional Director, Nursing is a highly experienced professional nurse with an exemplary background in education and whose primary purpose is to promote excellence in health care and nursing education of the designated region by supporting management, faculties and students, and to build, support, and maintain positive relationships with regional health authorities and healthcare providers. The Regional Director, Nursing is responsible for maintaining the relevancy of the program’s curriculum, performing program evaluation, securing and managing affiliation agreements and clinical placements. This will be accomplished through frequent and open dialogue with campus management, coordinators and affiliation partners; continuous internal reviews of program and clinical placement deliverables; and clinical placement quality assurance processes using effective measures and procedures to identify, allocate and evaluate resources.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Harnessing updated nursing knowledge and clinical best practices the Regional Director- Nursing program is responsible for:
1. Assuring quality and compliance of the nursing and health care programs through continuous monitoring of program content and delivery *
2. Empowering nursing faculty in providing high quality nursing and health care instruction though training, coaching and role modeling
3. Assuring student achievement in REX-PN through continuous monitoring of academic performance and application of remediation strategies.
4. Assuring students’ awareness of the different nursing Scope of Practice, Standard and Practice standards from BCCNM, BC Care Registry, and other Canadian regulatory bodies.
