Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Become the visible leader for AECOMs PPC Team in the Midlands, focused on public and private sector work across the built environment. Have a demonstrable track record and knowledge of the market and be a reason for clients to choose AECOM.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience leading a team of 40 employees with the ability to show significant growth in terms of people and profitable fee income
  • Ability to introduce new sectors and Clients into the established team
  • Highly motivated and with established Midland’s industry network
  • Gravitas and business acumen to build AECOMs market profile and be seen as a highly credible figurehead.
  • Ability to create long term strong relationships, especially within AECOM.
  • Ability to be an inclusive Leader, ensuring a high performing team is maintained and a clear succession is agreed.
  • Able to demonstrate significant experience of, leading and/or delivering exemplar professional services.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, being able to adapt to a US/UK plc leadership organisation.
  • Possess the ability to work across and manage other service lines (and likely cross-sell)
  • Minimum 15 years relevant industry Client facing and work winning experience.
  • Relevant professional qualification (F/MRICS, MAPM etc)

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

There has never been a better time to be at AECOM. Our Midlands region plans to accelerate its growth, with a successful foundation of current projects with many high-profile clients. To facilitate this, we are currently succession planning for a Regional Director to take on the lead of PPC (Programme, Project and Cost Management Services) for the Midlands region, reporting to the Operating Unit Leader. This role will be market facing and will involve taking responsibility for care and growth of existing clients. The successful candidate will also take ownership for leading and developing the current team of circa 40 staff to reach their career driven aspirations.
Our Midlands PPC offering operates across the following sectors: Commercial, Government, Education, and Industrial and we wish to expand and grow additional sectors through your connections.
As our Regional Director, you will ultimately be responsible for the leadership and direction of colleagues at all levels with a view to achieving our integrated business targets. This is an excellent opportunity to be a core part of AECOM’s North, Midlands and Eastern (NME) leadership team.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Lead a team of circa 40 employee with the aim of building and recruiting a team to equate to growth in the region
  • Lead our PPC services, accelerating AECOMs growth against its operational /other metrics
  • Develop, with the North, Midlands & East Operating Unit Leader, a strategy to enable AECOM to become the leading force in the Midlands
  • Drive integrated leadership and motivate our team of dynamic professionals
  • Maintain our professional quality to existing clients and extend this capability where required
  • Evolve our Midlands leadership team, with a focus on high potential of leadership and new growth
  • Market AECOMs PPC services to new Clients reflecting new market sector entry strategies
