You will

  • Report to the Matrix Education Field Manager as part of the Matrix, Biolage and Pulp Riot education team, with the online education team to drive the full online + offline education strategy, to retain, grow existing business and to deliver the highest education excellence across Ireland for our direct customers and distributor partner(s).
  • Create and execute a clear strategy of online & offline face to face education for Ireland, meeting the needs and visions of the direct business,
  • Take complete ownership of the education needs for Ireland and use precise decision making to plan direct education where needed to drive your regional targets and supporting the commercial sell out and the indirect distributor focusing on.
  • Lead, coach and develop a regional freelance education and local artistic team, to maximise their performance, promoting the highest standard of education delivery across Ireland.
  • Establish and maintain a hairdressing community, enabling you along with the Irish direct team retain and develop the Matrix, Biolage and Pulp Riot brand(s), in key account salons establishing strong professional relationships with focus being placed on winning new business and talent(s) to our brand(s) focusing constantly increasing your education reach and increasing engagement across O+O education activities.
  • Track and manage budget expenditure and drive income to balance the local P+L. Measure and monitor your own and your freelance team of educators and artists fees and expenses in alignment with the given budget along with the agency affiliated with the group to manage the payroll.
  • Forge strong business relationship with commercial, marketing, and other functions across PPD and with maintain strong links with the Irish distributors who have exclusive commercial agreements in place.
  • Foster strong GDPR compliant communication across the whole education network.
  • Manage the smooth running and high quality delivery of all Matrix + Biolage in-salon demonstrations, courses, and events on your area with accountability for attendee numbers.
  • Have a detailed understanding of ACCESS, enabling you deliver education via the platform alongside reporting accurately on a daily basis all Irish figures for the completed work activities and reach for you and your team.
  • Managing the Irish ACCESS portfolio of e-learnings with focus being placed on reach and repetitive touch points across all accounts.
  • Be able to stay away from home when required and be prepared to work the occasional weekend and travel on a Sunday evening should you be required.

You have

  • A passion and experience in delivering hairdressing education classes, workshops, and presentations both face-to-face and online. Teaching qualifications would be an advantage but not essential
  • Practised as a professional hairdresser and have achieved an NVQ/SVQ level 2 and 3 or equivalent qualification. Assessors’ awards could be an advantage
  • An ability to recognise priories with strong time management to drive business needs and meet the set KPI targets.
  • An ability to be a strong team contributor, lead and inspire a team and be able to work independently when required
  • A drive to meet and exceed targets and a curiosity to try new formats and projects to make this happen
  • Excellent attention to detail and be able to see a project from start to finish completed at the highest standard whilst always demonstrating an understanding of the bigger picture objectives and impact of actions
  • Be a strong networker across PPD, the brand teams and industry always representing the Matrix + Biolage education team to the expected standard
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills with an ability to write and deliver accurate on-point communication internally and externally.
  • A strong ability to manage stakeholder relationships at different levels in the complex network of an direct and indirect omni go-to-market business, be able to adapt and give bespoke solutions when required.
  • Be a creative problem solver with the ability to proactively identify and implement improvements to systems and procedures using facts from test and learns results.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and MS TEAMs and able to complete administration tasks to a high standard.
  • Ability to work in an ever-changing & demanding environment with an ability to keep cool under pressure.
  • Confidence in presenting figures and data accuracy from reports and customer feedback.
  • Demonstrable excellent customer service skills when dealing with distributors and individual delegates booking on courses.
  • Experience of GDPR, and an understanding of the importance of confidentiality.
  • An understanding of the importance of social media and regular posting
  • Full driving license and willing to travel widely as part of the role
