Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Central Float RN
Novant Health is hiring for a Central Float registered nurse for the 12 hour night shift at our New Hanover Regional Medical Center location in Wilmington, NC.
Schedule: Full-Time, .9 FTE, 72 Hours per 2 weeks, 12 hour night shift, 7p - 7a

We’re seeking a Central Float, RN to join our team in our Centralized Nursing Resources department. As a Central Float RN, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care across multiple units at New Hanover Regional Medical Center and the Orthopedic Hospital. Qualifications:

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
  • Current valid North Carolina nursing license required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association required.
  • One-year of acute nursing experience required.

    If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team to plan and prioritize care interventions.
  • Engage in dialogue with patients and support systems.
  • Mentor and support team members through precepting, orientation, and conflict resolution.
  • Appropriately delegate tasks while ensuring patient safety.
  • Float to other units at NHRMC.
