Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE

To achieve financial objectives within the Region for the HNW Segment through stakeholder relationship management and client engagement, in line with WMSA business strategy. To provide leadership, manage sales & client service, mitigate risk, grow market share and deliver an integrated customer experience through the execution of end-to-end strategic objectives and to take ownership of the Nedbank Private Wealth brand.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the execution of the HNW Segment strategy through managerial participation and formulating an operational/tactical plan.
  • Drive and monitor the implementation and execution of the NPW / HNW segment strategy through communication, observations and testing for understanding.
  • Ensure that all individual and regional targets (client growth, client retention, AUA, Deposits, Advances, Headline Earnings) are delivered through team and in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
  • Develop and manage area budget through diligent expense management and according to the strategic business requirements.
  • Support the on-time delivery and implementation of relevant projects, processes, and systems as relevant in line with business strategic objectives.
  • Drive the implementation and execution of divisional acquisition and coverage strategy.
  • Drive and monitor sales (acquisition, cross sell and upsell) against set targets for the HNW segment, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders within rest of group.
  • Ensure increased revenue (i.e. Net Interest Revenue [NIR] and Net Interest Income [NII]) growth through new acquisition and unlocking the strategic opportunities.
  • Ensure active and successful growth of Nedbank HNW segment market share across existing and new clients by driving the sales teams’ targets and client service levels.
  • Enable direct reports to develop sales plans by providing agreed information, clarifying how targets will be achieved, resource planning, professional advice and strategic contribution.
  • Support the delivery of world class client service and adhere to HNW segment expectations and standards.
  • Support the formulation and delivery of an aligned and integrated customer experience across HNW segment through driving the team.
  • Ensure effective risk management by monitoring compliance to policies and procedures and relevant regulatory frameworks and taking corrective action where necessary.
  • Comply with standards, policies and regulatory requirements of function.
  • Ensure a culture of trust and respect of department members, direct reports and managers
  • Ensure resource and work allocation through optimising resources, managing workflow and increasing productivity.
  • Create a high-performance sales & service culture.
  • Manage performance of reports and hold them accountable for managing the performance of their reports.
  • Identify relevant development needs by assessing own performance and behaviour through formal and informal feedback.
  • Maintain a capable high performing team by identifying a talent pool.
  • Build depth of skills and knowledge in the team of managers.
  • Promote Nedbank Private Wealth market reputation and presence by role modelling the brand essence and fusing the client experience with the brand promise.
  • Build relationships with all relevant stakeholders by supporting and sharing information and knowledge
  • Ensure effective clear communication and relationship networks through leadership engagement and checking for understanding.
  • Leverage and influence the matrix leadership structure.
