As an interface to Product Management, Operations and IT, the area Business Process Management (BPM) Global Airfreight is responsible for all the global Airfreight processes of Hellmann. This includes the design, implementation and continuous improvement of business processes in terms of standardization, automation and digitalization.

» YOUR SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • A solid understanding of the global air freight forwarding industry based on extensive industry experience
  • Completed studies in logistics or business administration or completed training in logistics
  • Experience in disciplinary and functional leadership paired with a motivational, supportive and visionary leadership style
  • Experience with the implementation of process improvement projects (automation/digitalization, process changes and standardization, organizational changes)
  • Experience in Business Process Management and methodologies such as lean, agile, design thinking or business process modeling
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills
  • Strong self-confidence, decision making and problem solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to work in a project and team environment across different assignments and cultures
  • Ability to establish credibility amongst a range of management team members
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills to effectively deal with all levels of employees
  • Strong moderation and mediation skills, paired with a hands-on mentality
  • Flexible towards traveling

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Airfreight related strategic business process improvement and transformation projects in special regards to the implementation of CargoWise One as our new transport management system
  • Lead and manage a team of global, regional and country/cluster Airfreight BPMs
  • Develop, align and implement the future global Airfreight demand and test, support and maintain them on a high quality level
  • Maintain and develop relevant skills in Airfreight Operations by designing standard trainings and assuring a highly qualitative approach to training conduction
  • Work collaboratively with Airfreight business process owners to define business needs and create respective business cases
  • Work collaboratively with the global and regional Airfreight Management team to create an Airfreight business process improvement project portfolio for which you will develop and apply a prioritization methodology
  • Plan & implement business process improvements in the nature of process automation and digitalization, organizational changes, process transformation and standardization
  • Establish a culture of best practice sharing, on-going learning and constructively challenging the status quo
  • Operational and Financial KPI Management and steering (Productivity/file-hygiene/closing/Invoicing etc.)
